Logo and identity design for Yonesaki Apple community, Tohoku, Japan. Invited to join DOOR to ASIA in 2017, a designer-in-residence program funded by Japan Foundation for Asian designers to come together and help revitalize business in Tohoku region after the 2011 tsunami.
The design was inspired by workshops with apple farmers and local children capturing the idea of apple as nature’s blessing from the earth, sun, and sea. The final brand, communication, and short-term strategy were proposed to LAMP NPO and the Yonesaki community to empower farmers and build a community of apple lovers.
